Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is designed for you to believe that “the third time’s the charm” when it comes down to purchasing a future foldable phone. Without a Galaxy Note 21, there’s a lot on Samsung to live up to that statement.

We are happy to report that the Z Fold 3 has become our first recommended foldable phone after spending nearly a week with it. We have been using the Z Fold 3’s familiar 2-in-1 design and are determined to fold and unfold its flexible 7.6-inch display to verify its durability.

This phone folds up stronger than its predecessors and is waterproof. The tablet-like inner screen withstands even the most ferocious stylus strokes thanks to Samsung’s new S Pen Pro and S Pen Pro.

S Pen support is a great fit for a screen this small, and was something people wanted with their first two Folds. The Z Fold 3 is larger than any Galaxy Note smartphone and offers more drawing and writing space. However, it’s smaller than traditional tablets and can be folded to half its size and stored in a pocket.

The S Pen can change how you use your phone every day. You will need a case and the S Pen is sold separately. This will be an adjustment for Note users who have been using the stylus since the Note’s original S Pen.

In the US and UK, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be released on Friday, August 27, while it will be available in Australia on September 10. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 release date is Friday, August 27 in the US and UK. In Australia, it’s September 10.

Although the Z Fold 3’s price is lower than the Galaxy Z Fold 2’s launch price, foldable phones still cost more than top-end smartphones such as the iPhone 12 Pro Max or Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The Z Fold 2 starts at $1799 / PlayStation1,599 / AU$2,499 if you get a model with 256GB storage. If you need more capacity, you can purchase a 512GB Zfold 3 for $1899 / PlayStation1,699 / AU$2,649. When it was first released, the Z Fold 2 cost $1,999 / PlayStation1,799 / AU$2,999

Samsung offers some attractive trade-in deals in the US. You can get up to $800 off if your older device is a phone, tablet, wearable, or combination thereof. Up to four devices are allowed to be exchanged to achieve that maximum value. This phone could be yours for $999. That’s a more attractive price.

Design and display
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 maintains the same book-like design and functionality as its predecessors. It has a 6.2-inch Cover Display that can be used, but it is not very useful. The handset opens to reveal a huge 7.6-inch LCD on the inside.

This phone’s two displays and hinge mechanism, which allow you to fold it and unfold it, combine to make it the most eye-catching design of 2021. This phone is a statement of your technological prowess.

Even though it may not always be practical, it’s amazing. It’s hard to believe that the phone is the thickest in decades, but today’s thinner and lighter smartphones are much more affordable. Although it is lighter than the Z Fold 2, at 271g, it still weighs in at a substantial handset.

Camera and specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 camera specs are the same as last year’s: A 12MP main camera, an ultrawide 12MP camera, and a telephoto 12MP camera capable of 2x optical zoom.

This device will have optical image stabilization for the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. We found the Galaxy Z Fold 2 cameras to have good image quality, but the Note 20 Ultra was noticeably better.

Some Note fans might expect more now that we are in 2021. The S21 Ultra may also use an S Pen stylus and may be an option for those who place camera capabilities above the form factor. The majority of features found in foldable phones are not available on high-end cameras.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 also has two additional cameras, both of them designed for selfies. The phone’s outer screen has a 10MP F/2.2 camera. This is the same as the Z Fold 2 camera.

This device will have optical image stabilization for the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. We found the Galaxy Z Fold 2 cameras to be very good. Last year, however, we noticed that the Note 20 Ultra was better.
